Semester Project

You will create three visualizations as the semester project. It can be static images, or it can be an interactive web app. You are encouraged to make use of existing open source code for visualization. In addition to the final result, you also have to include, in your final report, (1) the data pre-processing steps and (2) comments on your choice of chart type, color scheme, and other design decisions. Make relevant hyperlinks to relevant articles such as those discussing the criteria and best practice recommendations suggested in the class.

You can publish your report either on github or on the teacher's v.im server. Make sure to update the github page or the v.im page frequently so that the teacher can see your progress from a weekly cron backup of your page. This is to ensure that you don't crash a semester's work into an intensive period of only a few days or even a few hours.
